Hold
The margin across the best prices. Lower is better; below 0% is an arbitrage.
Max stake
The largest total the books' reported limits allow.
Antic finds the price. You place any bet yourself, at your own book.
Hold is the margin left when you take the best price on every side. When you have to bet through a bonus, a near-zero hold means very little of your stake goes to the books. Below zero it is an arbitrage.
The strongest example in Antic's cached prices at the last refresh, with the time the prices were read and each book's feed age. Prices move; the times say how old they are.
No market with fresh feeds on both sides had a hold this low at the last refresh. The tool lists them as they appear; this page checks again every minute.
Hold calculatorIllustrative example: round numbers, not a live price
One book prices both sides at −110. Across two books, the best prices are −102 on one side and +100 on the other.
Hold at the best prices
0.50%
50.50% + 50.00% − 100% = 0.50%
Below 0% it would be an arbitrage. A lower hold means less of your rollover goes to the books' margin; promo rules vary by book.
What the number means, what goes into it, how fresh it is and what it can't tell you. More on every number in how Antic's numbers work.
The catch. Promo terms vary by book. Check the rules before you rely on a low-hold pair to clear one. Antic never places bets.
