In one line: Pop-ups for a live price that clears the bar for +EV, arbitrage or a middle.
Say your minimum EV is set to 5%. A live price pays +170 on a side whose fair price is +150, a 40% chance. Its EV is 0.40 x $170 - 0.60 x $100 = +$8 per $100, or +8%. That clears a 5% bar, so an alert can pop up.
Illustrative prices, not a live quote.
An opportunity alert is a pop-up for a live price that clears the bar for positive expected value, arbitrage or a middle. Each kind has its own switch in Settings, under Notifications.
Pop-ups only count books you use in Antic.
For positive EV, the bar is your minimum EV in Settings, or Antic's own floor if that is higher. A price needs EV at or above the bar to pop up.
Arbitrage has its own threshold in Settings.
Pop-ups are capped each day. The cap is one of the Daily limits in Settings, under Notifications, and you choose it from a short list.
Quiet hours hold back in-app banners, and they follow your phone's clock.
The pop-up opens a sheet with the numbers behind it, including the fair price and the books that carry the price.
Books shown only as a reference for the fair price are there for comparison. They are never a place to bet.
An alert means the math clears your bar. It does not mean a bet wins.
