Professional soccer in the leagues and cups Antic follows, from the Premier League to the Champions League.
Antic follows the Premier League, MLS, LALIGA, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Champions League, Europa League, Liga MX, Eredivisie, Primeira Liga, Brasileirão and Championship. The European domestic leagues on this list usually run from August to May, and their preseason is a run of friendlies in the summer.
The Champions League and Europa League play a league phase from autumn into winter, knockout rounds from late winter into spring, and a final in late spring. MLS and Brasileirão play through most of the year. Liga MX plays two short tournaments, the Apertura and the Clausura, and each one ends with a playoff. The exact dates change each year.
Most of the leagues decide the title from the table alone. MLS, Liga MX and the Championship add playoffs at the end, which decide a champion or a promotion place.
A match has two halves of 45 minutes, plus the stoppage time the referee adds. A play is any event in the feed, such as a shot, a save, a card or a substitution. Play-by-play lists them in order.
A goal is the scoring event. An own goal counts for the other team, and a penalty kick is awarded for a foul inside the penalty area.
In a table, a win is worth three points and a draw is worth one to each side. For example, a 2-1 win gives the winner 3 points, and a 1-1 draw gives each side 1.
An Antic Rating is a player's score for one game on a 0 to 10 scale, built from the box score alone.
Soccer has no win probability in the feed, so there is no game rating. Above 10 is reserved for outstanding games.
Player props are bets on one player's stat or event. When a match has them, they are usually about goals, shots and assists, and whether a player scores at any point.
Antic never places bets. If betting stops being fun, set limits or call 1-800-GAMBLER.
Before kickoff, you can pick who wins. At halftime, a poll can ask who wins the second half. Votes show the split.
Lineups show the starting eleven and the bench once they are posted, with the formation when one is posted. Before that, you see the squad by position: goalkeepers (G), defenders (D), midfielders (M) and forwards (F). Each row shows injury status when one is reported.
Tables rank teams by points. Ties are broken in each league's own order. Many leagues look at goal difference and then goals scored. In the Champions League and Europa League group tables, head-to-head results come before overall goal difference. Each competition publishes its full rules.
